Flimmuur Tactical is a small UK based company that specialises in bespoke builds. When I first came across them they were producing customised uniforms and pouches. However over the course of this year they have started to focus solely on the design & build of pouches.
I was quite privileged to receive their ‘Ultimate Dump Pouch’ prototype which I used on a variety of occasions culminating in a hard use day mounted on both my armour carrier as well as part of a belt order (sadly no belt order photos).
Flimmuur Tactical has been involved in the building and customisation of tactical kit for the past 6 years and has built a quiet but solid reputation amongst the UK airsoft community as well as active service members. All his products are made by hand in the UK and I can assure you that he does not scrimp on quality and he is always thinking on how he can make better bits of kit or improve on existing ones.
Having a variety of dump pouches from several different companies the first thing that struck me was the quality and thought that had gone into this.
As you can see it’s a foldable pouch that is secured by an ITW Nexus side release buckle.
All the hardware on this pouch is ITW.
The main body is constructed out of Multicam Litelok and complimented with an Omega mesh body for drainage on the left & right hand sides as well as the base.
The pouch is bellowed which comes into play when the magazine capacity to starts to increase. You can easily fit 6 magazines (ranger plates included) into this and at one point I had 9 but then had to secure the internal collar very tight.
The internal collar uses shock cord and an ITW cordloc allowing the user flexibility on width for insertion and security of magazines. I have a tendency of ramming mine home and even with that constant force repeated over and over again it held its position once set up.
The one thing that struck me the most about this pouch was found at the rear. Firstly it has a PALS system, all good, but the paraclete strapping and reinforced backing behind the PALS grid was what made this stand out.
I like the paraclete attachment system, its quick and easy to mount and dismount to your desired kit. As you can see the pull tab was able to fit and hook securely under the PALS grid so when attached to my duty belt there was no way it was coming off, even with the abuse I gave it.
The reinforced backing behind the PALS grid provided both stiffness once attached as well as flexibility in attaching it to my duty belt allowing me to really compress my belt for maximum tautness. This again combined with the paraclete gave me a very secure belt mounted pouch that did not move or slide around.
The overall construction and stitching is second to none and a lot of thought has gone into this. At the time of writing this I understand that Flimmuur Tactical is in talks about getting a small quantity of the ‘Ultimate Dump Pouch’ manufactured but I am sure he will welcome private enquiries.
As I said this is only the prototype and starting to understand a little more about the man behind this company I can envisage him already tinkering with this. I can envisage great things coming out of this company.
