The Kershaw Shuffle II, a solid low budget EDC Knife with additional tools.
By now you have probably heard your girl tell you things like “it’s not about the size, it’s about what you do with it” or “It’s small but i like it”… well, it’s also true with the Kershaw Shuffle II.
The Kershaw Shuffle II is a liner lock knife with a tanto blade made out of 8Cr13MoV steel with a hollow grind, the blade measures only 2.5 inches (6.5cm) perfectly legal to carry in Portugal. I’ve got the version with the BlackWash finish and I have to say, this finish looks awesome in a tanto blade! It’s obviously not a big blade but it feels solid when in use.
The 4 inch (10.16 centimeters) grip has a great angle to it and the finger groove provides increased control over the knife, the scales are made out Glassed Filled Nylon and they do look good and have an agressive and badass looking texture to them but when in use they feel cheaply made,
nowadays G10 became the standard in knife scales and should obviously have been Kershaw’s choice in this case, has the scales ruin the overall feel of the knife when using it.
At the base of the handle you have a flathead screwdriver tip that can also bee used as pry bar or a glass bracker in case of emergency, dual sided bottle opener and lanyard hole, it’s uncommon to find this tools incorporated to EDC knives but they are very useful and end up being used more than i tought they would be.
Overall the Kershaw Shuffle II is a solid option for a EDC Knife, weighting only 3 oz. (86 g) you will probably even forget you have it with you until you need it, and for the price 20.00USD in the US or around 25.00EUR in Europe it’s hard to find a better price/quality ratio knife for every day use.
