QUESTION: Can I use communications systems with Avon Protection respirators?
ANSWER: A number of our respirators have a communications pass-through to attach a voice projection unit (VPU) and other radio electronic communications systems which use an internal microphone.
This VPU (Voice Projection Unit) is specially designed for the C50 and FM50 masks. The VPU and internal microphone can easily be connected via the Electronic Communication Port (ECP) on the mask.
The GEN II VPU, when deployed with the FM53 and FM54 Air Purifying Respirators – our most tactically advanced masks, provides the operator with the best-in-class respiratory communications platform.
