Developed in the late 1990s for specialized carbine programs, the Wilcox ECOS-N mount became a defining element of compact rifles configured for professional use. Its lightweight, skeletonized design and low-profile geometry reflected a new era in red-dot integration – one that balanced durability with speed and precision. The original configuration famously paired the Aimpoint CompM2, known to the U.S. military as the M68 Close Combat Optic (CCO), with the Wilcox mount for a compact and reliable setup trusted by elite users during the early 2000s.
The Aimpoint PRO stands today as the modern evolution of that lineage – carrying forward the same operational DNA that made the M68 and CompM2 synonymous with dependability. Featuring a 2 MOA red dot for rapid target acquisition, a hard-anodized aluminum housing, and Aimpoint’s ACET technology delivering over three years of constant-on use, the PRO embodies the refinement of five decades of red-dot excellence.
