Optics:
Germany’s Bundestag Budget Committee has now cleared the Bundeswehr to order approximately 200,000 additional ELCAN Specter DR 1-4x primary combat sights from the Canadian company Raytheon via Leonardo for the G95A1 and G95KA1 assault rifle variants.

Optics enhance the combat effectiveness of the G95
The committee also approved the call-off of primary combat sights and reflex sights for the Bundeswehr’s new G95 assault rifle from an existing framework agreement. Delivery will take place in sync with the base weapon components and the laser light module, thereby completing the Bundeswehr’s assault rifle system. This optic enables the assault rifle to be used out to its maximum combat range — in combination with night vision clip-on devices or night vision goggles, also at night or in limited visibility.
