Today we have a special one for our “Sunday = Gunday” feature. The one and only built for the man, the myth, the legend himself, Larry Vickers. Check it out below!
Here is the one and only Vickers-Burton 1911A1 built on one of the coolest base guns I think ever made; the WWII Colt M1911A1 reproduction that was offered by Colt many years ago. Compared to the WWI reproduction M1911 pistols of which Colt offered in a few different flavors over many years the WWII reproduction M1911A1 was not made for very long. I for one would love to see Colt bring it out again.
As far as the pistol goes I think it turned out absolutely stunning – pics don’t do it justice. If you have never seen Jason Burtons work in person I would highly recommend you do so – his tradename is Heirloom Precision and the pistols live up to the name.
