The SCARAB™ Light is a new Velocity Systems Plate Carrier aimed at meeting unique user needs and solving some industry-wide armor carrier issues.
The SCARAB™ Light’s shoulder straps were designed to alleviate common fit issues with traditional sewn fixed angle shoulder straps. The SCARAB™ Light has narrow ULTRAcomp™ shoulder straps that articulate on a D-ring allowing them to swivel to sit correctly and comfortably on any user, regardless of neck thickness or shoulder broadness. The ULTRAcomp™ Shoulder Straps are adjustable for length and have a Padded sleeve, that can also be used for cable routing.
The SCARAB™ Light comes configured with a standard front flap opening, but can also be setup for dual or single Quarter Flap opening, if a user does not want to displace their chest worn equipment. If one style of opening works better for a particular mission, the flaps can be easily reconfigured in a couple of minutes.
There is a color matching Velcro® Loop Admin Panel on the upper chest, a front kangaroo pouch, and Integrated SwiftClip™ buckles for rapid don/doff of auxiliary chest worn equipment such as Chest Rigs and SwiftClip™ Ammunition Placards.

The plate pockets hold Plates of corresponding sizes to the carrier, and there are adjustable plate hanger straps inside the plate pocket. Currently available in Coyote Brown and Multicam but Black and Ranger Green are in the works and will soon be available too.
