UF Pro Firearms Instructor Series: Recoil Management on the Pistol with Paul Van Dunk from PACE Performance

Squeeze the trigger and watch as your muzzle rises. That’s because when you fire a gun, there is recoil which causes it to move back into position with each shot fired in rapid succession. Recoil management aims to increase the precision of your shooting by limiting muzzle rise when you fire the gun.

Various ways of achieving recoil management are available to shooters, but the most effective of these is proper grip. Paul Van Dunk from PACE Performance Consulting has compiled some tips to help you manage this motion and make sure you always stay on target even under the pressure of self-defense circumstances where seconds count.
