FN Herstal – 20 year deal with Belgian Defence
For the next 20 years, FN Herstal will supply all small-calibre ammunition to the Belgian Defence and maintain its small arms fleet in operational condition!
Approved by the Belgian Government on November 17th, this partnership between Defence and FN Herstal will strengthen the security of supply for Belgium, the EU, NATO, and their allies.
It is part of the DIRS and the policies carried out by the Belgian Government and Defence Minister Ludivine Dedonder.
The partnership also provides a multinational framework open to other European countries, to meet their long-term ammunition needs.
Investments are already underway in Herstal and Zutendaal and will be stepped up in the coming months. They will contribute to a significant increase in ammunition production.
FN Herstal was founded in 1889 to equip the Belgian army. Today, we’re writing a new page in this story, and we are extremely proud of it!
