Today, we got a HK416 A5 up for a spotlight. This one comes straight out a marketing shooting from manufactures around the defense industry. It’s kinda basic 416 you’d say and you’re right! But, what sets it apart are the featured accessories – those make this 416 a top-notch performer in the streets, at least in our opinion!

ABOUT THE 416:
The HK416 (and its variations) stands for a performance-optimised assault rifle family, tailored to the tasks of the infantry, as well as the dedicated challenges of special forces of the military and police. The HK416 is based on the original design of the AR-15 system, but has been maximised in technical terms. As a battle-proven assault rifle, the HK416 enjoys a reputation within the NATO alliance as an extremely reliable, safe and highly accurate piece of equipment.
The indirect gas-operated weapon in calibre 5.56 mm x 45 NATO covers effective engagement distances of approx. 300 to 600 metres with available barrel lengths in 11, 14.5, 16.5 and 20 inches, has a standard 40 mm under-mounted grenade launcher interface and configuration-dependent special features for close-range and battlefield combat situations.
The design of the HK416 reduces the offset from the barrel to the sight radius when aiming. In addition, the full-length NATO STANAG 4694 Picatinny rail ensures that, in addition to mechanical or opto-electronic sights, there is also sufficient space for night vision attachments, thus giving the HK416 unrestricted day/night combat capability. The Slim Line Handguard offers the HK Key-Mod slots on the 9 and 3 o’clock positions, providing additional attachment options of leasers, lights or similar accessories of the operators choice.
On the one hand, the optimised receiver geometry offers ideal shooter ergonomics and handling benefits, in that all controls relevant to the shooter can be operated from the right as well as from the left and can be reached quickly.
