Understanding Fits for Threaded Barrels
Safariland understands that there has been an increased interest in using their holsters with threaded barrels. Here is a little info to help with this question.
Most Duty and Tactical holsters model fits without a light attached will have clearance at the bottom to allow the barrel to protrude beyond the holster.
For light-bearing Duty and Tactical Models, there is a limitation on barrel length due to the muzzle stabilization plug. In duty models, this feature is there for our retention standards.
This means the ALS may not engage correctly with the additional barrel length from the threads/crown. In some cases, ordering a fit size up may accommodate the threaded barrel, depending on the firearm’s overall barrel length. For example, a Glock 19 with a threaded barrel will typically fit a Glock 17 holster fit.
