Milipol Paris –SCHUBERTH GmbH from Magdeburg introduced its new T100C training helmet at Milipol Paris 2025, presenting a tactical head protection solution designed for both training and real operational missions in military and law-enforcement environments.
The T100C features a newly developed multi-layer carbon composite shell that delivers exceptional structural stability and durability while significantly reducing weight. At just 750 g (size XS–M) and 790 g (size M–XL), it is the lightest training helmet in its class.
For the first time in a tactical training helmet, the T100C meets the standards for a mountaineering helmet under EN 12492 and a whitewater helmet under EN 1385. Inside, the EPP liner combined with a 4-point chin strap and neck pad provides outstanding comfort and shock absorption, ensuring reliable protection during demanding scenarios.

The Birth of a Legend. According to Enloe, Aimpoint USA received the first prototypes of the Micro in the summer of 2006. Initially, the Micro was intended for submachineguns, PDWs, the occasional shotgun, and maybe a pistol or two. During testing, the Micro was added to every practi-cal application they could conceive. “With the exception of height, it worked well on every platform,” said Enloe. “For the height issue, we reached out to the mount industry.”
Enloe tested prototypes on many firearms, even an M1A and FN FAL, but on firearms like an AR-15, the factory mount was too low for a proper cheekweld. Occasionally, Enloe would contact the home office in Sweden and give feedback, but at the time, there was a lot more focus on the CompM4. Still, Enloe kept explor-ing options. It was the calm before the storm.

SOCOM’s evaluation demanded the highest standards of small arms performance, including extensive trials for durability, precision, reliability, and environmental resilience. The SOLGW rifle endured extreme conditions—heat, cold, dust, mud, and salt exposure—while maintaining consistent function and accuracy.
The MK1 selected by SOCOM is the result of a multi-year development effort, building upon SOLGW’s extensive experience producing ultra-reliable rifles trusted by law enforcement and civilian shooters. Every component was analyzed and refined to maximize reliability, shootability, and durability, ensuring the platform can perform anywhere in the world.

Dating back to a US Army experiment in 1940, Frog Skin was created and first issued to Marine Raiders in 1942. Very different than the OD Green GI uniforms, Frogskin employed a mottled disruptive pattern similar to a frog.
The irregular shapes and earth-toned colors help to break up the human silhouette across varied terrain for an effective camouflage. Similar and sometimes used interchangeably, “Duck Hunter” was referred to as a beach pattern with inverse colors featuring more brown and tan – getting its name from similarly colored contemporary waterfowl hunting patterns.
Contrary to historical folklore, the pattern was not phased out due to friendly fire incidents from being mistaken for the German Erbsenmuster pattern with a similar mottled design. Although some Army units fielded the pattern, it was primarily used by the Marines.
Beyond military applications, it is an appreciated pattern by collectors and enthusiasts who see it as both historically significant and visually distinctive. This duality – being highly functional and steeped in Marine Corps heritage – has helped cement its place in the pantheon of legendary camouflage patterns.
