Marines and Sailors with Combat Logistics Regiment 37, 3rd Marine Logistics Group, III Marine Expeditionary Force and Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 40, 31st Seabee Readiness Group, conducted an eight-day jungle training evolution where they were taught basic infantry tactics such as patrolling techniques and setting up ambushes while in the jungle April 1-8 at the only Jungle Warfare Training Center in the Department of Defense. Marines with Company B., Battalion Landing Team 1st Battalion, 4th Marines, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, complete the jungle endurance course following a two-week training evolution at the Jungle Warfare Training Center at Camp Gonsalves, Okinawa. Some of the skills showcased are rappelling, rope sliding and stretcher making while alternatively allowing the Marines to rely on squad-level leadership to determine the most effective way to overcome the four-mile course.
