CZ Celebrates its 85th Anniversary. To mark this occasion, it will release two CZ limited anniversary edition firearms.
Ceska zbrojovka, the largest manufacturer of small arms in the Czech Republic and one of the most important arms companies in the world, will celebrate 85 years since its founding in 2021.
To mark its important anniversary this year, Ceska zbrojovka will release two exclusive, limited editions of successful CZ firearm models: 2,000 CZ 557 85th Anniversary rifles and 2,000 CZ 75 SP-01 Shadow 85th Anniversary pistols. Both editions retain all advantages of these modern legends, with the bonus of special touches that commemorate the company’s 85th anniversary.
CZ 75 SP-01 Shadow 85th Anniversary Edition Pistol
The 85th Anniversary model of the CZ 75 SP-01 Shadow semi-auto pistol features brass grips with the CZ 85th Anniversary logo on the left grip. The left side of the slide is engraved with the “LIMITED EDITION” inscription.
The pistol is chambered in 9x19mm or 9x21mm and has a magazine capacity of 19 rounds. The magazine extension is also made of brass. The trigger has a gold-colored PVD finish. The pistol also features an extended ambidextrous manual safety, adjustable rear sight and fiber optic front sight. The overall length of this handgun is 8.23” (209 mm) and it weighs in at 41.27 oz (1.17 kg).
CZ 557 85th Anniversary Edition Rifle
The CZ 557 85th Anniversary bolt action rifle features a gold-colored bolt body, bolt knob, trigger and magazine baseplate. This rifle will be available chambered in .308 Winchester or .30-06 Springfield. The magazine capacity for both caliber options is five rounds and both have 20.5″ (520mm) forged barrels with 1:10 twist rates and threaded muzzles (M14x1).
The walnut stock is oil finished and has a 14.5″ (370mm) LOP. The rifle also features an adjustable trigger. The overall length of this version of CZ 557 is 42″ (1066mm) and it tips the scales at 7 lbs 15 oz (3.6 kg).
