BFG MARCO Knowledge Quickie
Chris and Jared both have stories about the frustrating inefficiencies of traditional chemlight marking methods. The approach before BFG’s revolutionary MARCO design involved bundling together ten 6-inch chemlights with 550 cord or something equivalent. But each light was too bright, so the SOP was to partially tape the individual lights to dim them.

This ridiculous process still didn’t solve the problem that these bundles were heavy, clunky, and impractical in other ways they discuss in the video. Blue Force Gear’s MARCO Marking Light Dispenser radically changed tactical marking by addressing the vast deficiencies of traditional marking using chemlight bundles.
