Selected as primary ballistic helmet for the FBI.
We’re proud to share that Busch PROtective has once again been awarded the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) ballistic helmet contract.

In 2019, Busch PROtective made history when our AMP-1 TP became the first-ever ballistic helmet selected by the DOJ, meeting the DEA-FBI Ballistic Helmet Protocol for federal law enforcement — including the FBI, DEA, and U.S. Marshals.

Winning back-to-back with our AMP-1 X in year 2025 is more than just a success — it’s a confirmation of our commitment to innovation, officers’ safety, and advancing what ballistic helmets can achieve.

Shaping the future of law enforcement protection
When we first introduced the AMP-1 TP, there was no lightweight, law enforcement-specific ballistic helmet on the market.
We introduced a helmet that not only met the 1985 NIJ Level IIIA test, but also one that satisfies the strict European VPAM HVN 2009 standard.
This innovation helped influence the creation of the DEA-FBI Ballistic Helmet Testing Protocol V2.0-2024 — now one of the most demanding standards in the world.
